Reynolds played shortstop at Virginia and converted to third base for the Diamondbacks. For the season, Reynolds batted .279 with 17 homers and 62 RBI. Reynolds continues the recent trend of Cavalier baseball players succeeding in the pros. Last year, Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman finished a close second in rookie of the year voting and played a central role in the Nationals 2007 season.

Wahoos- Expect big things from Mark Reynolds this playoff season, and seasons to come.
